After This, Nothing Will Be The Same.

Starting on November 7th (yesterday) the great Star Wars deluge begins.

With the highly anticipated release of ‘Resistance Reborn’ by Rebecca Roanhorse which is the official lead-in novel to ‘The Rise of Skywalker’ that has already stirred up a lot of interest over the character of Wedge being on the cover in some countries, and some excerpts that have hit the internet to great fanfare (I’ve avoided them so Incan stay as fresh as possible). It’s already been sent out for review in America and whilst I have avoided reading/watching them, the buzz seems to be incredibly positive.

In the UK, on the very same day we also get ‘Spark of Resistance’ by Justina Ireland which already got its release elsewhere and is part of ‘The Journey to the Rise of Skywalker’.

Of course, next week we have the first two episodes of ‘The Mandalorian’ airing on Tuesday and Friday as well as the release of the first fully single player Star Wars game that has come from EA since they took on the license, ‘Jedi: Fallen Order’ which tells the story of a Jedi Padawan who survived Order 66. It’s full of Lightsabers, Stormtroopers, Inquisitors and Force goodies.

THEN (oh yeah, there’s more) it has just been announced that the third and final part of the VR Game ‘Vader: Immortal’ is released on 21st November for the Occulus VR consoles.

As if that wasn’t enough, of course ‘The Mandalorian’ and ‘Star Wars: Resistance’ will be playing throughout the two months, although ‘Resistance’ will most likely take a break close to Christmas. There will be comics on a weekly basis and who could forget the release of the conclusion of 42 years of storytelling, ‘The Rise of Skywalker’.

Of course with the new films there will be a tonne of ancillary materials such as the Visual Dictionary, the soundtrack and other things that will contain so many spoilers, people will be avoiding them for weeks until they see the film.

Not to mention all of the T.V. Spots for the film we get in November and December.

Can any of us honestly say that this isn’t the Golden Age of Star Wars?
